Terms of use, community rules & privacy

Last updated 17 August 2026. The Rock Room (“the wall”) is a free public audience wall run by Little Rock Guyana for its radio and television audience. By signing up or posting you agree to the points below. Questions: littlerockgy@gmail.com.

In one breath: it is free, it is public, we may read what you post on air, be kind, be 16 or older, and we can remove anything that does not belong on a family station.

1. What the Rock Room is

A public wall where listeners and viewers post greetings, shout-outs, birthdays, song requests, photos and replies, tagged to one of four rooms: 88.5 Rock FM, LRTVS Channel 10, NewsWatch and Little Rock Suites.
Everything you post is public — anyone on the internet can read it, and it may be shown on the Little Rock websites and embedded pages. There are no private messages on the wall.
Posting is free and unpaid. Nothing on the Rock Room earns money for posters. (Little Rock’s creator platform, RockYard at littlerockyard.com, is a separate service with its own terms; it pays creators from one shared monthly pot by watch time.)

2. Read on air

If you tick “Read this on air”, you are asking a presenter to read your greeting (including your name and tag) on 88.5 Rock FM or on television. Presenters choose what is read; nothing is guaranteed. When a greeting is read, it is marked on the wall with the presenter’s name and the studio time.

3. Community rules

Be kind. No insults, harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs, sexual content, or bullying — a basic word filter runs on every post and the studio team reviews reports.
No advertising, spam, scams, phone-number harvesting, politics-for-hire or content you do not have the right to share (including other people’s photos without permission).
Only post about real people with their consent — especially children.
Limits: 280 characters per greeting, one greeting every 30 seconds, 20 a day, photos under 2 MB.
The studio team (admin and DJs) may pin, hide, or remove any post and may suspend accounts, with or without notice. Three reports from different listeners hide a post automatically until the team looks at it.

4. Age

You must be 16 or older to create an account. Younger listeners: ask a parent or guardian to post your greeting from their own account.

5. Your account

Your account is your phone number plus a 4–6 digit PIN. Keep the PIN private; anything posted from your account is your responsibility.
Your tag (for example naomi@rockfmradio) is made from your first name and the room you joined first. It is public. It is not an email address.
You can delete your own greetings at any time from the ⋯ menu. To delete your whole account, email us from your phone or with your tag and we will remove it.

6. Privacy notice

What we store: your phone number, display name, a salted hash of your PIN (never the PIN itself), the room you joined, your posts, replies, hearts, reports, optional profile photo and post photos, the times of those actions, and “read on air” notices sent to you.
What is public: your display name, tag, profile photo, your posts and replies, hearts count, join date, greeting count. Your phone number is never shown to other listeners.
Why: to run the wall, keep it safe (rate limits, bans, reports), and to let presenters read greetings on air.
Who sees it: the Little Rock studio team. We do not sell your data. Standard server logs (IP address, time, page) are kept briefly for security.
Advertising: public wall pages may show Google AdSense adverts. Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads; see Google’s advertising policies to opt out of personalised ads.
Retention: posts stay on the wall until you delete them, the team removes them, or the wall trims very old posts. Account data is kept while your account exists.
Your rights: ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time — littlerockgy@gmail.com.

7. Content licence

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting you give Little Rock Guyana a free, worldwide licence to display it on the wall, read it on air, show it on Little Rock television, websites and social media, and keep it in the station archive. Do not post what you do not have the right to share.

8. The boring but necessary part

The wall is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it running and fair, but we cannot promise it will always be available or that every post is read on air. Little Rock Guyana is not responsible for what listeners post. We may change these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Guyanese law applies.
